NSS Activities 2019-2020
The NSS Volunteers on World TB day(24/3/19) participated in a rally that was organized by BBMP from Bangalore Medical College to K.R. Market.
A total of 50 students participated.
A health education was also conducted in Medical OPD of St.Martha’s Hospital.
A total of 25 OPD patients were benefited.
World Environment Day
The NSS Volunteers actively participated in the World Environment Day by conducting the following programmes :
1.Collage competition for all batches of B.Sc Nursing (1st-4 th year ) 5 students from each batch participated. The collage was prepared based on this years theme and were judged by 2 teaching faculty based on various criterias.
2. Campus cleaning and planting of saplings. Around 6 students planted 5 saplings and sowed seeds (corriander,chilli,cucumber ) and also ensured that the campus was free of plastic and other wastes,thus making environment eco –friendly.
3.Taking pledge : As part of World No Tobacco Day,a pledge was taken against the use of tobacco.
A total of 26 students participated in the World Environment Day Celebration.

Demonstration Of Yoga
As part of Yoga day celebration ,one of the hospital staff of DOTS Centre was invited to teach the NSS Volunteers Yoga on 20/6/19.
The students were taught regarding the importance and benefits of yoga and nutritional aspects to be followed while practicing yoga .
A total of 20 students participated in this session.
