St Martha's College Of Nursing

Dear Parents and students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the St. Martha’s College of Nursing website.

St. Martha’s College of Nursing and the 500 bedded Hospital is owned and managed by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, South West Province, India. The Hospital was started in Bengaluru in the year 1886 to serve the sick and the suffering during a time of plague and famine. The School of Nursing was started in the year 1933 and upgraded to the College of Nursing in the year 1998.

I am proud to say that, since its inception in 1933, the College of Nursing has trained thousands of nurses whose skills and competence have won praise not only in India but also abroad. In addition, the hospital has been doing yeoman service to the poor and the sick in our society.

In the last 87 years, the College with its committed staff has moulded the character of young girls and imparted quality and all-round value-based education, both theory and clinical training. The College takes care to ensure the well-being and happiness of each student and also encourages them to participate in extra- curricular activities.

With a long history of achievements in nursing education behind us, the St. Martha’s College of Nursing continues to move forward with compassion, dedication and commitment.
